- Impression: The dentist will take an impression of the prepared tooth and the surrounding teeth to create a mold for the crown.
- Fabrication of the Crown: The mold will be sent to a dental lab, where a skilled technician will use the mold to create the crown. The crown will be made of materials such as porcelain, ceramic, resin, gold alloy or base metal alloy.
- Fitting and Cementation: Once the crown is ready, the dentist will check the fit and color match, and make any necessary adjustments. The crown will then be permanently cemented to the tooth.
- Follow-up: The patient will need to have regular follow-up appointments to monitor the crown and to ensure that the tooth remains healthy.
